BJJ Skill Tree: Map Your Path to Black Belt
Track your training journey across BJJ fundamentals and beyond. Every session you log builds your personal skill tree — a visual map of techniques you've explored, positions you've worked, and milestones you've reached.
Simplified illustration — the actual skill tree has 50–80+ nodes spanning all 6 zones
How it works
Your training data drives everything. No manual input required.
Log your training sessions
Every session you log — rounds, techniques, partners — feeds your skill tree automatically. The more detail you add, the more accurately your tree reflects your real training.
Watch nodes unlock
As your training data grows, skill tree nodes unlock based on what you've actually practiced. First submission attempt? Unlocked. 100 training rounds? Unlocked. The tree tracks your journey.
See your game take shape
View your progression across all 6 zones — from fundamentals to advanced techniques. Identify gaps in your game, celebrate milestones, and find out what to work on next.
Six zones covering your entire game
Every node belongs to a zone. Explore all of them or focus on where your game lives.
Fundamentals
Core concepts every grappler builds on — first session, basic positions, your first submission attempt. These nodes unlock fast and give you your first taste of progression.

Common questions
Do I have to manually update my skill tree?
No. Your skill tree updates automatically from your session logs. When you log a technique, complete sessions, or hit a training milestone, the relevant nodes update. Just train and log — the tree takes care of itself.
Does the tree tell me what to practice next?
The skill tree shows locked nodes with their prerequisites, which naturally guides you toward what unlocks next. It's a training journey tracker, not a prescribed curriculum — it reflects your actual exposure, not a "correct" path.
Will my historical training data count toward the tree?
Yes. The skill tree is computed retroactively from all your existing session data. As soon as you get access, your entire training history is analyzed and nodes are unlocked based on what you've already logged.
